The American Trinity Cross

The American Trinity Cross is named for its red, white, and blue stones. The ruby, diamond, and sapphire stones that enhance the pendant have a dual symbolism that represents both Christian theology and American patriotism.

The symbolism of the jewels:

The Ruby represents the love, the blood, and the passion of Christ. It also symbolizes E Pluribus Unum – “From Many, One.” Out of many peoples, races, religions, and ancestries has emerged a single nation: the United States of America.

The Diamond represents the purity of Mary. It also symbolizes the official motto of the United States of America, “In God We Trust.”

The blue Sapphire represents God the Father and the Grace of Mary. In paintings throughout the History of Christian Art, Mary is often depicted wearing a heavenly blue.  The sapphire also symbolizes Liberty, one of the founding principles of the United States of America as expressed in the Declaration of Independence.
