Homage to Bill W.

The Homage to Bill W. design is in honor of Bill Wilson, co-founder of the Twelve Step recovery program Alcoholics Anonymous,* and primary author of the “Big Book, ”Alcoholics Anonymous. Bill W. alsowrote the Twelve Traditions, still recited at the beginning of each meeting today. The Circle and Triangle Symbol has long been connected to the Alcoholics Anonymous fellowship. It was
adopted as an official A.A. symbol at the International Convention in St. Louis in 1955. In Bill’s speechat the convention, he described the meaning of the symbol.
“Above us floats a banner on which is inscribed the new symbol for A.A., a circle enclosing a triangle. The circle stands for the whole world of A.A., and the triangle stands for A.A.’s Three Legacies of Recovery, Unity and Service.

Like all of my Infinity Ring sculpture and jewelry designs, the Homage to Bill W. pendant evokes ancient Feng Shui principles. The never-ending circular nature of its Infinity Ring form promotes infinite peace, love, abundance, and deepens the pendants symbolic meaning of healing and sobriety.
